When you sign up for the season by loading your farm card, you’re not only getting cash back, but you’re investing in your local farm and it’s ability to thrive.

We are always trying to find ways to add value to the membership. Right now we have Garden Club, and occasional free events like block printing, bird watching, and more!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “CSA” mean?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The idea is that members have a stake in the farm, and invest upfront so the farmer can purchase all seeds and supplies needed for that year. The members then receive access to weekly farm stands of the seasons harvest, ideally building a connect relationship between the growers and the eaters, limiting waste and opening doors to better food and more sustainable farming.

What if I don’t spend the full amount I load onto the farm card?

Use it for next season! It won’t expire and we are happy for you to roll it over to when you will use it.

Do I have to be a member?

We really prefer you subscribe by getting a farm card, so we can depend on you coming and build a connection with you and the farm. When people become members, it allows us to focus on growing the best veggies possible as well as builds an understanding of seasonality. If you can’t subscribe (we totally understand), you can purchase from our farmstand using cash, venmo, or zelle.

Are you organic?

Organic and beyond! We use organic methods like composting, integrated pest management, and no-till. We only use organic fertilizers and pesticides when we use them, mostly making our own using Korean Natural Farming techniques. We aren’t certified because we’d rather have you at the farm and explain what we do.

What if I can’t make it to pick up?

There is no obligation to come every week. If you want veggies but you’ll miss the pick up window, send Alyssa a text message with what you want from the weekly list (sent via email) and you can arrange an alternative pick up.

Which vegetables can I expect?

We are totally seasonal! You can expect what is in season (for winter/spring you’ll get lots of incredible greens (spinach, swiss chard, kale, bok choy, crisp lettuce) root vegetables, sugar snap peas then the seasonal fruit. San Diego has a wide variety of fruits and we try to catch even the shortest seasons from mulberries to oranges to tangerines to figs we got your seasonal fruit!
